One Room Challenge - The Reveal! Chic Master Bedroom

Hello there! and Welcome to Splendor!

The day is here. It's time for the One Room Challenge reveal and I'm not quite ready. It's been a very demanding process, and being done with it feels kind of unreal right now. I had no idea this experience was going to teach me this much (OMG Linda! You are a genius!) Designing a whole room on my own - from scratch - in such a short period of time. I definitely wanted to quit at some point, but luckily managed to keep going and now I'm so SO happy with the results! :)

First things first, here's a HUGE THANK YOU and GRACIAS HASTA EL CIELO to the best friend ever and my #1 supporter - Amor, you are a rock star for keeping up with me these weeks, installing lamps, hanging curtains, making endless holes on the walls, and pretending you have no problem with 8 pillows on the bed. I couldn't have made it without you <3

I literally used all my tricks and learned many many more from all the fabulous ORCers out there. They are amazing inspiration! If you haven't checked them out yet, do so now. There's so much talent around! I feel so so lucky to share this experience with all of them.

So, here it is! an official Splendor Styling design. Hope you like it!

CHIC MASTER BEDROOM by Splendor Styling

Mirror - HomeGoods | Curtains - Bed, Bath and Beyond | Dresser - Vintage | Knobs - Anthropologie | Accessories - HomeGoods | Orchid - HomeDepot

DIY pieces of art

I'm so happy about how the DIY art pieces turned out. It felt so good to paint again. I'm going to do it more often for sure.

Ceiling light fixture - LampsPlus

Lamps - AllModern | Side Table - World Market

Picture Frames - IKEA

This gallery wall was created to balance the off-center window behind the bed. Meaningful pieces, like the hubby's wedding boutonniere, and fav pictures are now a focal point in the room.

Bed - OneKingsLane | Sheets - PotteryBarn | Pillows - HomeGoods and H&MHome

Ceiling light - LampsPlus | Rugs - World Market

I adore everything black and white. Stripes, spots and strokes are now all over our bedroom. This DIY bench was made with a cheap find from a thrift store; IKEA fabric; and gold spray paint. Absolutely LOVE how it looks in the room.

When you challenge yourself, you make amazing discoveries. All these pretty pictures were taken by a fab photographer and new friend, Nikk Rich. I was thrilled when she contacted me to include my design work as part of her Creative Collaboration Project. Nikky has been a witness of all this process, and I'm happy to announce that I will be sharing a Behind The Scenes of this transformation pretty soon! Stay tuned! :)

This is it! What do you think?! Your comments and encouragement have been a HUGE part of my creative process. Thanks so SO much again for passing by and sharing a little bit of your time with me. I LOVE reading your comments. Please stay in touch. xx.
