MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH STYLING!

Hola de nuevo! I’ve been so ridiculously busy these past days that it feels fantastic to sit down and blog again :) And guess what?! This is the first post I’m writing from a plane, flying across the ocean, happily going to mi Peru (insert your favorite heart emoji here and multiply it by 10).

That’s right! This trip is all about spending time with my favorite peeps and family, and celebrating being together again - including spending Mother’s Day with my mom. So, I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate all this than sharing with you my last styling project, made with a latin flair!

Latin America has been calling me more than ever! Seriously. And I feel truly honored to represent it in so many ways. In this opportunity, a couple of very talented latina bloggers from the DC area contacted me to collaborate on this pretty project. Jess, who’s an amazing cook, put this delicious brunch together in a couple of hours. Incredible! It really tasted as good as it looks. Carlis and Sebastian were in charge of making a video of it, including the preparation of a couple of dishes. And I got to spend time doing what I like the most: styling the table and the bar! It was perfect.

When I was given the complete menu, I couldn’t but picture tons of colors and details to make it look festive and happy. My favorite part was shopping for flowers, and arranging them together. I decided to use small vases to create a long center piece and decorate the bar. I filled them with blooms I found at my local florist (Flowers on 14th, anyone? they have the best stuff) mixed with supermarket ones. They turned out so wonderful!

I also used napkins with a colorful print, and for a more personal touch I dressed up the table with this gorgeous handmade tablecloth and yellow doily my grandma gave me when I got married. Nothing better to celebrate motherhood, right? So, here it is! A super colorful and happy Mother’s Day Brunch that I hope will inspire you.

Dishes included all sort of good latin combos: mango & avocado salad, queso frito with guayaba squares, mini quiches, fruit salad. Yum! and for dessert: mini passion fruit cheese cakes, and obviously bubbly! I like presenting sweets & champagne together. They just deserve each other, don’t you think? I will show the before & after pics of the bar in a future post, so you can see the whole transformation ;)

Life gets pretty amazing sometimes and gives you beautiful adventures and challenges. I really enjoyed working on the styling of this project. And can’t wait to share the video we made as soon as it’s ready!

Thanks again to the latino crowd who put this together. You are all fabulous! xo.
