Beach Inspiration

Hi there!

Today I want to share some inspiration directly from the beach. Being at the beach is one of my favorite things! I know it might sound like a cliché, but I actually was born in the coast and used to spend about four months a year enjoying the sand and the sea. Then, the beach is still my favorite destination and I find its textures and colors incredibly inspiring. Always.

Airy bedrooms, natural palettes and semi transparent white curtains that allow you to enjoy nature around. I adored the atmosphere in this hotel! Even better, the path that takes you to the beach is surrounded by banana leaves - so in vogue these days!

I've seen plenty of uses of the famous Martinique banana leaves wallpaper, but looking around I came across this OH SO PERFECT living room design by (obviously, who else?) Nate Berkus. A perfect mix of whites, metallics, and banana leaves! Just genius.

Would you dare to use this pattern? Would you use wallpaper at all?? I'm so tempted to use big patterns on my walls, but it's such an important statement in any room... I don't know.... I'll keep thinking about it; enjoying the view; and sipping on my piña colada ;)

Keep yourself inspired! xx.
