CHIC BAR AREA - STYLING WITH FRAMEBRIDGE + GIVEAWAY
It's been a year now since we moved into this small condo in DC, and my main goal has been to transform every little corner and make it stylish.
Small spaces deserve Big style!
It means taking measurements twice and then twice more just to make sure I'm not missing any precious inch of space. Every corner has a purpose! Like our tiny foyer to drop off keys and wallets, or our small studio that serves as both my home office and our guest room.
Our bar area is a small nook behind the dining table that I painted in Benjamin Moore's Deep Caviar as soon as we moved in. I knew I wanted those dark walls to create a division in the room and add some drama. Even though I always loved the dark look, it takes time for design to evolve and I couldn't find the right way to decorate that little nook... until now! When Framebridge contacted me for a collaboration I knew that their pieces would be perfect to make a statement.
My experience working with them was a breeze! I didn't want the regular gallery wall. I wanted asymmetric mats and amazing frames, and I wanted to squeeze 3 of them in this little space - I'm telling you, inches are precious in this house! So, I measured and measured and decided to use my ultimate favorite pattern - marble. I was so excited! I got this thai marble paper in black and gold (obviously!), cut it and sent it to Framebridge with special directions on how to place them in their fabulous mirrored silver frame. Their team did exactly what I asked for, and made the process so easy.
I couldn't be happier with the new look in our bar area! I even got marbleized pillows because, you know, what's more fabulous than your walls matching your accessories?! Choosing a mirrored framed helped create the illusion of a bigger space, plus it reflects light and it looks oh-so chic! :)
