One Room Challenge - Week II
It's Thursday, guys! This is my second week with the One Room Challenge, and I'm LOVING it! This has pushed me to actually squeeze my agenda and make this project of mine happen. I spent this week looking for some inspiration and getting accessories to define my bedroom's style. So much fun to look for pretty things when you actually need to bring them home with you! So, here are some of my finds:
On top of that! I was super disciplined and finally installed some basic roller shades - sleeping with eye masks was not an option for us anymore. Proper curtains are still on my to-do list!
As you can see in the picture, I moved furniture around and marked some of my future focal points. Seeing these marks around helps me getting a proper sense on how the space would look like in the end. Do you see those pretty flower prints on the floor? Well they are NOT part of the decor, but the frames will be used for a DIY project I have in mind :)
Everything was going fabulous until a little bit of reality hit me - in the face - with a chair, or in this case - with a bedframe. I ordered this badass bed some weeks ago. I've been in love with it since forever and finally got to buy it! Bed arrives yesterday and IT'S A DIFFERENT COLOR!!! Shock. What?! No. Hell no! It was an awful disappointing moment as they are made by order. For a nano second I considered keeping the light gray one I got. Though about it again. No. I will wait for my charcoal one to arrive.
One Kings Lane's customer services has been very responsive until now, but they can't promise my bed will arrive on time. I know, it sucks. I will certainly be calling them often to check on the progress, and really really really hope to get it soon :( You don't happen to know the magic bedmaker in One King's Lane, right? If so, please let me know...
In the meantime, I'll keep working on my bedroom's transformation. I have so many ideas that I want to work on still. In my TO DOs (this week) are:
- DIY piece of art
- Dresser styling
- Possible wallpaper??
- Get a ceiling lamp
- Curtains and rods?
That's it for now! And I have to say. There's so many talented designers and bloggers working on this with me, it actually keeps me motivated! Check their projects and progress in here. So, the mantra for this week will be to stay positive, and keep working my ass off. haha!
Thanks for passing by! xoxo.
