PROJECT - CHIC GLAM HOME OFFICE (Week 2)

As promised, I'll be sharing my progress on the Chic Glam Home Office every week! I've wanted to change this space for a long time and I'm finally doing it. You can see my inspiration to make it happen in here. 

So... PAINTING IS DONE!!! It was a lot of work but now my black walls are completed and gorgeous! (P.S. Never get a manicure before painting walls jaaaa!) The pictures above don't make them justice, but wait until I get to take better ones. I used Benjamin Moore's Deep Caviar which is the same dark color I have in the dining area. I love how it has a hint of purple and brown during the day. 

Right now, there's a pile of books and things in the middle of the room as I haven't gotten a storage unit yet. But! I scored this beaauuuuuutiful étagère on Craigslist which will be the perfect place to keep files, folders and other paper goods. Do you like??!!

And last but not least, this was my first time stenciling a whole wall and I love the final results! If you are ever trying this method, you have to be patient. It's not difficult but it demands a lot of attention. I worked mostly in the evenings so light was always a challenge - hence the dark pictures of me and the ladder I climbed like 300 times! jaja! I used this herringbone stitch stencil to create some texture on the wall behind my floating shelves. Can't wait to see them up and style them! :)
