1, 2, 3 TRIPLES!

Have you ever met a Peruvian? If your answer is yes, I'm sure you definitely heard about how proud we are of our delicious and multi-flavored food. Peruvian cuisine is full of colors, flavors, salsas, everything mixed together, trying to create even better combinations and bursts of flavors in your mouth with each bite. I don't know if this sounds poetic enough to describe our food, but do you get the idea that it IS pretty good?! ;)

As you might know by now from my previous posts, I'm all about easy recipes and projects. So, I'm sorry. I'm not going to give you the recipe for our best delicacies. However! these sandwiches are my favorite. Commonly known as "Triples" because of their 3 layers, they are: a) delicious! b) healthy and vegetarian, and c) super easy to make. Tienes que probarlos! :)

They are perfect to take over a pot luck get-together, or to offer to your guests! Here is what you need:

  • 16 slices of bread - your favorite kind!
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced.
  • 2 hard boiled eggs, sliced.
  • 2 avocados, sliced.
  • mayonnaise.
  • salt n' pepper

Place each ingredient and then top it with a slice of bread. You can use some mayonnaise on each slice so they are "glued" together. Salt n' pepper every ingredient before putting the slice of bread on top. 

You want them as tea sandwiches? Trim the crusts, and cut them as small as you want. If not, just cut them in half and enjoy!
