Happy times, people!

Spring is coming and it’s the perfect time to add some color to your home. I just love the transition to colors everywhere, beautiful weather and lighter jackets. It makes me happy, so I decided to bring some of that happy to our apartment.

How to do it? Many different ways! Get some flowers, of course. Choose your favorite colors, be impulsive, be creative and go for what catches your eye. This time that I went shopping I happened upon this colorful and super creative Kleenex boxes. I was surprised by their new cool designs and remembered how useful they are. So, I ended buying a bunch of them that I placed around my apartment.

This blue and purple box was so pretty that I got two of them! I knew it was going to style some of my spaces perfectly. And here you go, there’s one in my living room and another one in my bedroom’s reading nook.

Spring also comes with allergies. Bummer. I didn’t have them before moving to DC. And, now I can’t live without tissues around. Same for the hubby. First thing he does when he gets home is to look for the Kleenex box - true story! That’s why I have to have decorative tissue boxes everywhere. And, obviously I was THRILLED to know that there’s actually a Kleenex Style Studio to make sure customers keep being stylish and practical at the same time. How cool is that? :)

What about some fruits? Estas mandarinas son tan lindas! So cute I had to make them part of our decor. Have you ever tried styling your home with fruits? It’s easy, cheap and helps you transition within seasons.

I also tried to style our (very serious and dark) bar with them. And hey, I didn’t have to go that far. In the end, I liked the sober palette with a pop of color. I even placed another stylish box of Kleenex in there and it matched the decor perfectly! I’ll keep it there to quickly sip up any spills.

As you can see, I went for all colors I liked. Purple, orange, yellow and even blue! You can make them work together if you use neutrals and add some pops of color. Anything is valid! Pretty accessories or useful things.
